Share this information with your clients:
Signing up will direct them to the BPC Sign Up Form. This form asks a few demographic questions. After they submit their answers they will be contacted by a research assistant (usually within 24 hours) to determine eligibility, give consent, and be assigned to either the BPC class taking place right away or the class that takes place in about 8 months.

There is QR code and link at the bottom of the flier which will direct them to a Participant Interest Form. This form asks a few demographic questions. After they submit their answers they will be contacted by a research assistant (usually within 24 hours) to determine eligibility, give consent, and be assigned to either the BPC class taking place right away or the class that takes place in about 6 months.

For parents who are, or who have been, or who are at risk of being involved with DCF (child welfare). This could mean your child is (or was) in foster care or someone has expressed concerns about your child continuing to live with you.

Talking Points for Providers
I want to talk to you about a class for parents. The class supports parents in learning more about the impact of trauma on themselves and on their children.
It provides information about:
⦁ Parenting strategies
⦁ Being kind and gentle with yourself
⦁ How to talk with your children about your family’s experience
⦁ Coping with the big feelings you or your children may have
⦁ Better understanding about how your childhood might impact your parenting and what to do about it
The class is free and meets once a week for 10 weeks. It might be in person or virtual. If it is in person a meal will be provided.
The class is part of a study to see how the class helps families. If you participate in the class, you will be asked to fill out 4 surveys over 8 months. You will receive gift cards as a thank you each time you complete a survey. You can earn up to a total of $180 for filling out the surveys.
Being a part of the study means that you might take the class right away or you might have to wait about 8 months.
